Come and Join us at the 2019 Jazz Festival

Continuing our partnership Cheltenham Festivals, our Chatterbox tent will return for the first Cheltenham Festival of 2019 – Jazz. Over 20,000 visitors are expect to participate over the festival’s 6 day duration with music from world renounced artists, Jamie Cullum, Alina Engibaryan, Andreya Triana and Gregory Porter to name but a few.

The Festival takes place in Cheltenham Town centre based at Montpellier gardens and the Town Hall. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, listen to the plethora of free outdoor music and soak up the atmosphere.

Would you like to be involved?

We are looking for volunteers to come and help us manage the family tent. This would involve helping children and young people do arts and crafts and engaging their parents and guardians in conversation.

In our family we will running be two activities; activity one will be making paper plate hand drums. The second activity will be inviting children (and their care givers) to think about what makes their heart sing and record these thoughts onto paper hearts and attach to our Windchime instillation in the centre of the family space.

The Chatterbox will be at the Jazz Festival, which runs from 1-6 May. The tent will be open from 10am-6pm Saturday-Monday and will be hugely busy.

It will be a fun environment and inductions will take place to ensure that volunteers are clear and happy about their roles and responsibilities.

If you would like to be involved in this exciting opportunity and be engaged with thousands of families who attend the Festivals and be in the centre of the buzz and fun of the Festival village then we would love to hear from you.

Cheltenham Jazz Festival has an international reputation for bringing the very best artists together and producing unique shows. I’m very excited to be working with the Festival team to help create this extraordinary artistic village.”                                                                                                                                                                                          Gregory Porter: Artistic Curator
