Clergy news for July

It is with sadness that we share the news of the death of Patrick Nicholas, who held PTO in this diocese from 2002. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Lara Bloom is now Assistant Curate of the Benefice of Abenhall with Mitcheldean.
Welcome to Mark Close who is coming from the Diocese of Bath and Wells to become Vicar of Hucclecote St Philip and St James, on 24 July.
Welcome to Fiona Crocker who will be licensed on 8 October as Vicar of Cam with Stinchcombe. She comes to us from the Diocese of Derby.
Welcome to James Faragher who is the new Vicar of St Oswald Coney Hill with St Aldate.
Peter Fewings (currently Charfield etc) will be taking on the role of Associate Priest in the Sodbury Vale Benefice from 17 July.
Andrew Hall is now Associate Priest in the Benefice of Cheltenham, St Mary with St Matthew and St Luke (previously Assistant Curate).
Kay Mundy will become Associate Priest of Deerhurst and Apperley from 18 July (formerly Assistant Curate).
Steve Harrison is coming all the way from South Africa to take on the role of Team Rector of Stroudwater Benefice. He will be licensed on 1 August.
Andy Sewell, currently Minister of Boulevard United Reformed Chuch and Retail Chaplain in Bristol City Centre will be licensed as Rector of Leadon Vale Benefice (Redmarley etc) on 10 September.
Christopher Sterry will be retiring as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Huntley, St John the Baptist and Longhope, Churcham and Bulley at the end of August.
Guy Treweek will become a Licensed Public Preacher and Minor Canon of Gloucester Cathedral on 3 September.
Farewell to Celia Woodruff, Assistant Curate of Dorsington, Pebworth etc who is leaving to be Priest-in-Charge of Burp­ham and of Poling (Chi­chester).
